MOVE THROUGH LOCATIONS: SAME TIME
The arrow key on the top of the picture allow the viewer to move through the 24 different garden terraces. Move forward in location with the Right arrow key. Move backward with the left arrow key.
USES OF THE "MOVE THROUGH LOCATIONS: SAME TIME" MODE: (Top of Picture)
You can move through the different garden terraces to find various crops and compare the progress of the crops. All photos in the "Move Through Locations: Same Time" Mode have the date on the photos. This Mode allows you to move through the garden as though you were taking a garden tour on the day of the date on the photos. At any garden terrace you can decide to view the progress of that terrace and its crops over time by using the arrows at the bottom of the picture.
USES OF THE "SAME LOCATION: BACK AND FORWARD IN TIME" MODE (Bottom of Picture)
Once deciding on a terrace to view you can move back or forward in time to view the early of late stages of the terrace and crop you are viewing. This is a very handy time travel feature. It allows you to follow the terrace and crop from planting to harvest and often view the cover crop that follows.
ADDITIONAL USES OF THE ARROW KEYS:
The collection and organization of the photos contain a lot of information. For example, you can often see when the harvest or bloom of various crops begins. If you have been viewing peas and use the "Same Location: Move through Time: Mode, you can find the time of bloom. By then returning to "Move Through Locations: Same Time" Mode, you can view the state of growth of all the other terraces and crops at the time that peas are flowering.
Cover crops are also clearly show and you can determine what crops follow cover crops in the spring and what cover crops follow the various crops or garden locations. When ever possible we include tools that are in use on certain terraces at the dates of the photo. There are a number of pictures after the 24th terrace that show highlights of the time period. Usually a maxium of 6 extra pictures are included on each sequence of photos.
MOVE THROUGH LOCATIONS: SAME TIME: The garden pictures are arranged with the screen show above. The top arrows allow you to move through the various garden locations in a sequence of 24 sections all pictures were taken on the same day.
SAME LOCATION: BACK OR FORWARD IN TIME: The Bottom arrows allow you to remain in the current location and move back or forward in time. This allows you to follow the development of one crop over time. For example, you can see one crop from planting through harvest.
